Abstract

Research findings from this study help to make inferences about the significance of spectrum allocation in the reduction of prices of mobile services provided in telecommunications in Central American countries. Spectrum allocation policy is an effective instrument in promoting greater competition in the telecommunications sector and consequently, the provision of lower-cost services in the region. Policy recommendations are made regarding the allocation and use of radio spectrum/broadband.
