Abstract

The African Adaptation Research Centre of Excellence (AARC) in Ghana sets out to improve knowledge and understanding of climate change impact on food security and health in three selected communities, James Town, Ussher Town and Agbogbloshie; produce research that informs policy; and build the capacity of the population, from graduate students and faculty at the Regional Institute for Population Studies (RIPS) to community members in the study communities. The new institute aims to work with government to inform and improve policy. Many opportunities arose during the workshop for future collaboration amongst participants and institutions.
