Abstract:
The first part of the report is a brief review of ICTs and sustainable environment in Costa Rica. The second presents the main stakeholders and initiatives that have been developed in the country. Thirdly, it discusses the political context that has developed in terms of ICTs, as well as climate change and e-waste. The main policies and regulations are then presented, and the paper ends with advocacy opportunities for civil society in the area of ICTs and environmental sustainability.
