Abstract
This PowerPoint slide presentation provides content and instruction on socio-economic aspects of approaches to formal and informal business enterprises and policy reform. It considers policy orientation and effects on entrepreneurial structure. The World Bank Enterprise Survey (EWSB) and the National household survey (ENAHO) are used as resources to compare and discuss business scenarios and their economic effects in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), while providing detailed information on formal and informal enterprises. Most LAC implemented reforms did not have as their objective informality reduction; rather they were focused on public management improvement.
