Abstract

This paper outlines the Language Technologies (LT) used for an e-Legislation framework, prototyped for the Philippine Senate’s Committee on Accountability of Public Officials and Investigations. Information extraction is the process of transforming unstructured information in documents into a structured database. The e-Legislation portal integrates a Document Management System (DMS) and Online Forums with the Information Extraction and Opinion Organization technologies, respectively. This technical paper provides details of the Language Technologies system prototyped and tested for the Philippine government portal.
