Abstract
As the organisation increases its operations and more services are delivered to the community, activities in the UbuntuNet Alliance also increase. The paper outlines the UbuntuNet Alliance communication strategy to enhance understanding of research and education networking activities among all stakeholders in the region as well as to increase understanding of the concept of academic networking among universities and research centres. The strategy utilizes a combination of web-based, social networks and print channels. A well-informed community of stakeholders is key to the success of the Alliance.
