Abstract
The UbuntuNet Alliance has realized significant progress in capacity building efforts, especially in its short to medium term program, designed to take three forms: National Research and Education Networks (NREN) twinning and visits; UbuntuNet-Connect Conferences; and training workshops. Capacity building also includes Africaconnect, a project funded by the European Commission and Eastern and Southern Africa NRENs under the UbuntuNet Alliance to implement UbuntuNet, the data network. This technical report provides a brief review of activities of the Alliance to date.
