Abstract
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) in Egypt has conducted a number of projects in cooperation with international organizations for “ICT measurement in Egypt.” Indicators follow standards set by international organizations, as well as catering to more local contexts. This presentation provides general information on the goals, current conditions, and calculation methods for ICT measurement and usage in Egypt. Statistical compilations of ICT value added, and other economic contributions to GDP are provided, along with some data sources.
