Abstract
Nowadays China is faced with increasing pressure of emission reduction of
conventional air pollutants (AP) and greenhouse gases (GHGs) emission, especially in
iron and steel sector, which has a great share in total industrial emission and suffers
from an expensive abatement cost. Co-control policies of AP and GHGs emission are
generally supposed to be cost-effective due to the co-benefits from the synergetic
emission reductions of different pollutants. This research quantitatively evaluates and
compares some co-control policy options through an Integrated Assessment Model
(IAM) in order to provide environment and industry policy suggestions in China’s
12th and 13th Five Year Period (2011-2020)...
