Abstract
The paper has been compiled to provide a strategy for supplemental funding from the IDRC for a regional project, “Towards Improved Market Access for ASEAN Agricultural Commodities.” The current report examines contextual issues of networking activities within participating trading countries, as well as those across ASEAN that will have a bearing on the success of the ASEAN Regional Diagnostic Network (ARDN). Food standards for agricultural exports must be considered. Networking across ASEAN to implement ARDN seems fraught with risk. CABI and ASEANET have canvassed the risks and these are presented in the ARDN Strategic Plan.
