Abstract
Participants were to keep in mind that the Monitoring and Evaluation manual deals with climate change adaptation parameters relevant to development and associated policy, rather than relevance to climate science in particular. The manual has put tools in a harmonized framework to be used in order to integrate aspects of planning, monitoring, and evaluation, in that information generated from planning can be made useful during the evaluation stages of adaptation programs, and vice-versa. Three tools were presented addressing resources and climate hazards mapping, and a vulnerability matrix; analysis of vulnerability; and participatory analysis of hazards (risk) components.
