Abstract
This paper from the inception workshop for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Nile Basin Project, briefly outlines the context for water management in the Sudan. Due to desertification and reduced rainfall conditions, 25% of Sudanese agriculture is at risk; adaptation measures for water resources management should be a priority.
