Abstract
The presentation includes “Concepts, methodological framework and evidence for multidisciplinary, community centred research and interventions for primary prevention of Chagas and dengue.” It covers details of the project which worked to explore the ecological, biological and social factors involved in determining the main implications for vector control; six Asian cities, with randomly selected urban clusters provided information derived from standardized household and entomological surveys. The Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) presentation focuses on an Ecohealth approach to disease control. The study and presentation are given in English and Spanish with details of interventions in Central America (Mexico, Yucatan and Bolivia).
