Abstract
The Association for Higher Education and Development (AHEAD) works to mobilize, coordinate and channel resources and expertise from the Ethiopian diaspora in Canada for development efforts in Ethiopia. This presentation introduces some research that has been carried out by AHEAD to enable diaspora engagement as a way to enhance the development potential of diaspora communities. Virtual participation through the use of ICT’s is proposed as a future innovative practice.
