Abstract

Increased funding for education is a key component in the efforts of the government of Guatemala to put the country back on its feet. Ensuring that Indigenous groups and women get their fair share of any increases was the goal of concerned civil society groups. With support from IDRC they researched and published a proposal for a more equitable distribution of education funding that would overcome systemic discrimination.
