For research to have impact, three strategies encompass relationship management, knowledge management, and opportunities management. The Asian Fisheries Social Science Research Network (AFSSRN or the Network) was formed to increase and build capacity towards long-term social science research capacity in Southeast Asian institutions in fisheries and aquaculture.
