The CASE (Competitive Agricultural Systems and Enterprises) and value chain approach were combined and used in projects: the Fonio Value Chain in Mali; the Vietnamese Pangasius value chain; analysing the octopus value chain of Mbour, Senegal; value chains of Cinnamomum tamala (Bay Leaf), Nepal; incense sticks (agarbatti) value chain, Tripura province, India; market opportunities for small scale cassava farmers in Tanzania; small scale producers and labourers in high value kalamansi chain, Manila.
