Abstract
The study investigates genetic variations between and within Yemeni faba bean landraces, estimates correlations and coefficients for the most important traits, and characterizes phenotypic diversity among these accessions for agronomic and morphological traits. Principal components (PC) permit us to distinguish six groups of landraces differentiated by group of traits. The description of agronomically important and useful characteristics is
an important prerequisite for effective and efficient utilization of germplasm collections in breeding programs. Findings show that local landraces maintain a high variation for most of the traits under study, which reflects the importance of them in specific adaptations to their regions of cultivation.
