Abstract
The National Health Research Advisory Committee (NHRAC) was appointed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to advise on the development of health research in Zambia. The NHRAC received a grant to plan for the establishment of a Zambian Health Research Body. The Technical Working Group (TWG) has built on these events and proposed the establishment of the National Health Research Council of Zambia, (NHRCZ). Next steps involve generating a prospectus, developing an advocacy document to present to the MOH and key stakeholders, holding consultative meetings with stakeholders, and combining the TWG’s work into one conclusive document.
