Abstract
The objective of a business incubation facility is to provide a low-cost, low-risk venue for start-up companies as they develop their businesses to full-grown and financially-independent entities. Ayala, Inc. has created a facility for business incubation; strategically located, it provides commercial spaces to generate income for sustaining the technology hub's operations while providing a venue for industry and academe linkages. In comparison with more traditional one-phased incubation processes, the the University of the Philippines (UP)-Ayala Technology Hub follows three stages in their incubation process. Access to expertise, resources, company relations, business permits, intellectual property rights, and new technologies are made available.
