Abstract
The Symposium analyzed aspects of translation and the publication of six readers: The Gender and Political Science Reader; The Gender and History Reader; The Gender and Religion Reader; The Gender and Psychology Reader; The Gender and Anthropology/Sociology Reader; The Feminism and Literary Criticism Reader. Translators and editors provided presentations about the implications of language use, problematic words and expressions. For instance, “…using bible with a small b, not capitalizing it, maybe to use as a text, to discredit its authority… this was the general purport of the article... (and) impossible to render in Arabic because we don't have capitals and smalls…”
