Abstract

The project conducted a literature review, environmental scan, and needs assessment of the research needs of women and girls with disabilities in Uganda. Initial results have verified the existing and very limited information on the barriers faced by this marginalized group, highlighting the importance of further research and data gathering. The study was a partnership between the National Union of Women with Disabilities in Uganda (NUWODU) and the Canadian Centre on Disability Studies (CCDS). This report describes the project methodology, activities and outcomes.
