Abstract

The Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy (CIELAP), Toxics Link India, and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) worked together to pursue funding for collaborative research on priority topics relating to Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) management. Canada and other industrialized countries export many of their WEEE to developing countries where low-paid workers and scavengers sort through it and process it using a variety of low-tech methods including manual disassembly and open incineration
