Abstract

The Outcome Mapping (OM) methodology supported insight into complex relationships that characterize a squatter community in Chennai, India. The approach was useful for tracking the effectiveness of project activity in generating outcomes. The paper reports on an experiment in adapting OM to an ecohealth project, and in bringing OM into an ongoing project. It describes implementation, project activities, key aspects, assessment and recommendations. The OM methodology was adapted in the final phase of the ecohealth project “An Adaptive Ecosystem Approach to Managing Urban Environments for Human Health.”
