Abstract

Research ICT Africa (RIA) seeks to build an African knowledge base in support of ICT policy and regulatory processes, and to monitor and review policy and regulatory developments on the continent in terms of public policy objectives. In this phase, RIA conducted ICT sector performance reviews and telecommunications regulatory environment surveys in 17 African countries and a comparative analysis of them, presented as a table of key findings. In addition, the ICT sector performance review assesses policy outcomes against their national objectives.
