Abstract:
As globalization continues, interactions between international trade, investment and domestic policy have become more significant, and doubts and concerns have arisen about the extent to which they impact poverty and inequality in the region. These interactions need to be better understood in order to develop coherent policy frameworks that manage globalization and achieve more inclusive and sustainable growth. They formed the core of the ARTNeT research programme in its Phase II. The report contains an overview and evaluations of ARTNeT activities including trade facilitation issues and the implications of preferential trade agreements.
