Abstract

This project collected and collated data for firms, households and individuals in four African countries: Ghana, Madagascar, South Africa and Tanzania, aiming to understand the labour market outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa and how public policy can improve these outcomes brought about by the economic transformation of the last decade, in particular for the poorest segment of the population. The report provides information and outputs of the project, including 14 research papers, policy briefs, presentations, and capacity building of researchers, their networks, and their organizations. Capacity was further strengthened through the partnerships between international experts and local researchers.
