Abstract
This brochure reports on the meeting of Réseau sur les Politiques de Pêche en Afrique de l’Ouest (REPAO). One of the priorities of the REPAO is the creation of functional institutions including a Regional Committee and National Committees for monitoring fisheries policies. The REPAO will promote forums for dialogue in which stakeholders participate in the pursuit of greater coherence of policies, the facilitation of the harmonization of legislation and regulation, and the common regulation and management of access to fishery resources.
