Abstract

This brief presentation looks at a green belt project planted around a degraded area of stone quarry. To restore the land and absorb toxicity of the soil, Subabool, Neem and Shisham plantings were observed. Survival rates of the plants are more than 60 % at both units. Low nutrients in the soil inhibited growth.
