Abstract

The report provides a summary of the investment climate in Palestine, with recommendations such as enforcing the rule of law, taking measures to improve security, reforming the Judiciary, and completing the process of updating economic legislation. The goal of this study, prepared by the Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS) is to evaluate the attractiveness of the stock market to foreign investment, obstacles to improvement, and steps needed to increase investments. Companies listed on the Palestinian Securities Exchange (PSE) operate in five major sectors: banking, insurance, investment, services and industry. Shares in these companies are traded via nine intermediary companies.
