Abstract
IDRC, through the MIT Development Ventures initiative, makes available a limited number of Action Grants for promising MIT-related project teams pursuing viable development ventures. The ClickDiagnostics project aims to provide anywhere-access to medical specialists through mobile phones at a reduced cost for patients and healthcare providers for medical conditions that are amenable to remote diagnosis using images, audio, and/or standardized description of symptoms. ClickDiagnostics provides diagnosis and treatment to patients where medical expertise is not readily accessible while creating entrepreneurial opportunities to provide last-mile solutions to improve health care for people in developing countries.
