Abstract
This evaluation report serves to inform current and prospective donor agencies about the effectiveness of LACEEP during its initial five-year period, and about prospects for the program’s impact in the future. It is abundantly clear that LACEEP has already made an important contribution to localized capacity building in the field of environmental and resource economics in the Latin American and Caribbean region. LACEEP’s growing network of researchers share information and resources, motivate each other’s work, and advocate for rigorous, evidence-based, policy research in the region. This report provides an independent and external evaluation of the program’s activities.
