Abstract
The aim of the program is to empower local governments to engage in peace building and conflict resolution towards the enhancement of sustainable peace through analysis of prevailing conditions including aspects of institutional capacity, social capital and communities’ activities, and current policies regarding violence and conflict prevention, and the impact of local interventions in six Latin American cities. The project encourages partnerships between different agencies of the justice and security system and improved coordination with other institutions and Local Governments to work at local level.
