Abstract
A lot of emphasis has been placed on policies aimed at combating the HIV scourge to an extent that other STIs seem to have been forgotten. In this BBC World Service broadcast, Kimasomaso's Tom Japanni seeks to find out what has become of awareness and treatment of other Sexually Transmitted Infections: is there enough information about these especially among the youth? How much do youth know about the dangers posed by diseases such as gonorrhea and syphilis? The programme transcript provides information to debunk myths surrounding these diseases and their treatment.
