Abstract
The TEDEL project aimed at bringing together two processes that attracted our professional and research interests. On the one hand, the Local Development strategy and, on the other, the ever growing trends to disseminate and develop new labour and telework modalities.
We tried to systematically analyze the interaction between both, on the assumption that Local Development strategies must incorporate ICT-related elements and opportunities in order to successfully materialize expectations in terms of achievements.
The nature of this project is two-fold. On the one hand, it has to do with delineating a series of “pilot experiences” that were carried out in five localities selected in Argentine territory. In such localities we were determined to create a set of favourable conditions in the course of two years, both to foster Local Development initiatives and to disseminate and apply new labour and telework modalities. On the other hand, the project basically implied a research activity per se as recorded in a series of reports and/or papers.
