Abstract

The project aimed at identifying best practices in knowledge management and technology commercialization in public research and development centers (RDC). The paper presents the results of the evaluation of 34 Latin American RDC, recognizing those which have developed sound practices around nine criteria: 1) Knowledge management practices; 2) Identification of intellectual assets; 3) Technological competitive intelligence; 4) Development of a service portfolio; 5) Licensing and commercialization of technologies; 6) Intellectual Property Management; 7) Management and motivation for research staff; 8) Project management for value creation; 9) Development of client capital and networking.Text in Spanish.
