Abstract
The study compares two rural villages in Sri Lanka and their use of various media, including more contemporary ICTs involving mobile technology and access to the Internet. The analysis provides details of disparities between age demographics, religion, gender, and education, as well as policy, infrastructure and connectivity constraints. Annexes describe design and implementation parameters of the project, aspects of community mobilization, and detailed anthropological information in terms of livelihoods of villagers.
