Abstract
The presentation traces development of Internet connectivity in Senegal, with strategies for advancing ICT and telecommunications infrastructure. The Consortium for Higher Education Schools (Public and private Universities, Higher Educational Institutions) are building capacity for a National Research in Education Network (NREN) which is a specialised internet service provider dedicated to supporting the needs of research and higher education.
