Abstract

UbuntuNet Alliance publishes a monthly e-bulletin, the key content of which is news from, about, or of interest to National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) in Africa. This issue covers conferences, partnerships, Google apps for email domains, Africa Connect updates, and a special interest group for Grid Computing, among other news. UbuntuNet is the regional backbone network that interconnects National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) and connects them to other regional networks. “We dream of an African continent where researchers will hold their own in the international community of peers, enabled by access to each other and the world through low cost connectivity.”
