Abstract

The report provides a brief outline of the workshop, with activities and agendas for meeting and discussion topics. Representatives from 15-20 coastal community groups shared information and lessons learned on marine and coastal resource dependence and livelihoods, and their relationship to resource management, conservation and sustainable use. Marine resource recommendation sheets and policy briefs were produced in collaboration with CORDIO East Africa (Coastal Oceans Research and Development in the Indian Ocean).
