Abstract
The presentation focuses on a rights-based approach to research in Arab countries, which would support movements towards inclusion of women in policy advocacy as well as in disaggregated statistical information. A rights-based approach to research could make strategic and context relevant/specific use of international human rights instruments (for instance, Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW)) and labour standards.
