Abstract
The World Weather Watch (WWW) is responsible for weather and climate data world wide. The Global Observing System (GOS) is a network of observation stations on land and sea that includes 7,300 ships and 3,000 aircraft, along with meteorological satellites and other observation devices. The presentation provides information on the relationships between data sources. Internal consistency checks are important for data verification and reliability.
