Abstract
This report provides detailed information on major aspects of the 5th World Water Forum (2009). Six global themes were discussed: Global Changes and Risk Management; Advancing Human Development and Millennium Development Goals (MDG); Managing and Protecting Water Resources and their Supply Systems to Meet Human and Environmental Needs, Governance and Management; Finance; and Education, Knowledge and Capacity Development. More specific topics were the basis for 111 thematic sessions, which debated actions to be carried out in order to meet global challenges. This is a comprehensive report.
