Abstract

Workshop participants discussed emerging research themes and questions based on international experiences; assessed knowledge gaps/deficiencies regarding micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and entrepreneurs in Egypt; facilitated dialogue between researchers and donor and policymaking communities, and identified research priorities leading to an action agenda. Presentations were complemented by national views on the state of SME/entrepreneurship research in Egypt including research gaps and barriers.
