Abstract
This project within post-graduate education at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is part of a larger umbrella program on Social and Gender Analysis (SAGA) in Natural Resource Management that involves partners in Vietnam, Canada, China and the Eastern Himalayan Region. The paper explains the awards process in terms of project implementation and management; course work; and fieldwork and study visits. Scholars learned how to formulate evidence-based arguments. They assessed existing integrated rural development and sustainable development projects through a social and gender analysis lens.
