Item Celebrating Dialogue : An International Forum on Collaborative Inquiry and Social Engagement; final technical report(Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Carleton University, 2009) Buckles, Daniel J.; Chevalier, Jacques M.SAS2 is an approach to learning and dialogue grounded in action. It has a collection of cutting-edge tools, concepts and skills for group-based inquiry, planning and evaluation in complex settings involving multiple stakeholders. The framework is theoretically informed, flexible and accessible to people in the voluntary, academic, private and government sectors involved in project development and evaluation, community-based research and organizational learning. Initiated at Carleton University, SAS2 is now used by practitioners around the world in many sectors and from villages to boardrooms. The grant provided an opportunity to engage people and institutions committed to participatory research in a celebration of the accomplishments of SAS2 practitioners from around the world involved in International Development, Education, and Organizational Development. Examples of SAS2 research and the difference it makes in Canada, Latin America and Asia were shared. Participants had the opportunity to learn through hands-on exercises and discussion what makes for people- and evidence-based inquiry that is useful and meaningful. Preparations for the Forum took place over a period of five months, followed by a three-day event at Carleton University from November 2-4, 2008. Follow up activities included publication of a Proceedings and exploration of institutional networks and mechanisms to support further development of a SAS2 community of practice. Item Démarche concertée pour planifier une entrée scolaire de qualité!(Centre la Ressource, Bureau régional du Ministère de l'éducation du Québec, Gatineau, QC, CA, 2008) Ruel, Julie; Moreau, André; Bourdeau, LiseItem Participatory research in a school setting : a process of acculturation(University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, CA, 2008) Leblanc, Raymond; Ducharme, DaphneThis is a one-page “poster” type summary of an action research collaboration involving phonological research, reading, and teacher pedagogical practices.
