Abstract
This programme discusses the restructuring of municipal services into commercial enterprises through privatization and corporatisation. The programme includes interviews with workers, union officials and community members who describe the impact of privatization and commercialization on them. Workers talk about the lack of job security, the poor standard of equipment and protective clothing, etc. Officials from companies who have benefited from privatization also present their point of view on the subject.
