The paper documents and characterizes the Las Vertientes Cooperative and is organized into five parts. The first section is dedicated to the context of the farmers cooperative. The second section describes the local area. The third analyses alliances and strategies of the cooperative. The fourth describes results achieved; and the fifth part identifies lessons learned and recommendations.
