Abstract

This external evaluation measures impacts that the Peace and Conflict Impact Assessment (PCIA) project and its outputs are having with intended users. A secondary purpose is to facilitate institutional learning by reflecting on IDRC’s role (in separate annex). The project was implemented with a consortium approach involving three UK-based organizations and three Southern-based partners. One of the successes of the project was how Consortium partners were able to manage complexity, and to coordinate work across many organizations spanning North and South. A conceptual shift from “PCIA” to Conflict Sensitive Approaches (CSA) might represent a broadening of perspective.
