Abstract
Knowledge about knowledge begets complexity, which in turn begets confusion and, its consequence, information overload (the new form of an emerging infectious disease in this technologically wired world is something labelled CPA or Continuous Partial Attention). This detailed paper delves into the connotations of “knowledge” in terms of new structures of knowledge and knowledge production, “knowledge societies,” research needs, ICT’s, networks, geo-politics, policy-making and developing countries.
